Mixed Media w/
July 9, 2016
This fun, intergenerational class will explore current techniques in mixed media such as layering, lifting, wet on wet, drybrush, masking, transparent washes, underpainting and use of experimental tools, using acrylic, pencil, gouache, and inks. The workshop is organized so that the paintings are built up slowly and the small group setting allows for one-on-one instruction. Students can easily complete one painting in a class session.
Instructor: Maryanne Pollock, a professional international artist and certified art educator with years of experience teaching in such venues as the Phillips Collection, The Corcoran School of Art and Design, DCPS, DCPL, the Sitar Center, Artist in Residence for the State of Delaware, the Rehoboth Art League, the University of Maryland, and the Barrie School.
